Do I need a microphone?
A phone or a computer with a microphone is fine. Your recordings are private to you and Teacher J.
Is it for Academic or General Training?
Both. IELTS Speaking is the same test for Academic and General Training.
Will someone listen to my recordings?
If you want Teacher J to listen and give feedback, that is a paid extra.
